Academic Exchanges Beijing Friendship Hospital and Bangladesh Urologists

On 19th May,  2015,  Accu-Tech  invited  three  urologists  Dr.  Hasan  Akhter  ，  Dr. MahmudHasan ， Dr. Abdul Hai from Bangladesh to visit Beijing Friendship Hospital and watch the operation demonstration of flexible ureteroscopy with Accu-Tech Holmium Laser.

Dr. Li Jun from Beijing Friendship Hospital and urologists from Bangladesh had a  full exchange of their experiences about flexible ureteroscopey.

Bangladesh is located in South Asia and has a high incidence of urinary calculi. Currently, the treatment of urinary tract stones still limited in hard ureteroscopy and PCNL with X-ray guidance, flexible ureteroscpy as the the most cutting-edge treatment method has not been carried out in Bangladesh.

Through one year effort, Accu-Tech invited urologists from Vietnam, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Egypt etc. to visit Chinese hospitals and exchange the minimally invasive treatment of urinary calculi.

Dr. Li Jun used Accu-Tech holmium laser demonstrated two flexible ureteroscope operations for both sides upper urinary tract stones.The first case is double renal staghorn calculi patient, the second case is on the right side of upper ureteral calculi combine with left renal pelvis and lower calyceal calculi. With Accu-Tech holmium laser, each operation cost less than one and half an hour.During the operation, urologists from Bangladesh discussed with Dr. Li Jun about the perioperative management, anesthesia, surgical techniques and operation of equipment.Visited doctors were impressed with Accu-Tech holmium laser of high efficiency.

After operations, Dr. Li Jun and Bangladesh urologists exchanged their information. Dr. Jun Li welcomed them to participate in the national conference organized by Beijing Friendship Hospital held in the end of August. Accu-Tech will also organize workshops to invite Beijing Friendship Hospital experts to Bangladesh to carry out related training activities.
