From September 2 to 3, 2017, the 14th National Seminar on Urology Surgery Minimally Invasive Technique organized by the Third Hospital of Peking University, China Urological Association of Chinese Medical Education Association, China Minimally Invasive Surgery Magazine and Beijing Health Promotion Association was held in Beijing Yuanwanglou Hotel successfully. The meeting attracted nearly 1,000 urologists from more than 30 provinces and cities across the country.

Prof. Liu Ke from the Third Hospital of Peking University used Accu-Tech’s holmium laser to carry out the "flexible ureteroscope lithotripsy and percutaneous nephrolithotomy" and "prostate holmium laser ablation". Prof. Liu Ke focused on researching the technique of holmium laser removal surgery at low power of 40W in combination with the current status of the application of the holmium laser in prostate enucleation technique, and more than 60 cases have been now completed, and compared with the enucleation of high-power holmium laser, the difference between the duration of the enucleation of high-power holmium laser and that of the enucleation at a low power of 40W when dealing with glands below 100 grams is not great. However, due to low energy and less heat damage when the capsule is separated, it has advantages in postoperative recovery, which will have important guiding significance for beginner doctors who are preparing to perform holmium laser ablation surgeries, shorten the time for mastering the learning curve of the holmium laser ablation techniques, reduce the equipment barriers in the early stage of technique development, and provide more choices for primary surgery hospitals to carry out this surgery.

The 14th Urology Surgery Minimally Invasive Technique Seminar of the Third Hospital of Peking University was successfully completed after the enthusiastic discussion of the guests!
